Terminal 3
This terminal has taken on a completely new look. To accommodate its growing domestic and international presence in Chicago, American Airlines invested $345 million to expand and modernize its `GAAteway to the World' at O'Hare.

The New Space includes larger passenger lounges, new concession areas and additional office space and work areas for American's employees. The Executive Center offers state-of -the-art conference rooms, audio-visual services, and office services to the businessperson traveling through American Airlines at O'Hare. In fact, American's Admiral Club at O;Hare currently serves as the largest airline VIP lounge in the world.

American also installed and underground baggage handling facility that is truly state-of-the-art. It consists of over seven miles of conveyors and can handle 480 bags per minute.

Terminal 3 also features a vaulted skylight in the stem corridor leading to the H & K Concourses thus providing a warm, pleasing atmosphere.

One of the two mega-hubs in the American Airlines system. More than 550 flights a day with departures to over 100 non-stop destinaTen daily non-stop flights to Europe, plus additional international service to Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean. 11,000 employees, including ground support personnel, sales agents, pilots and flight attendants.

Traffic:

• Over 12 million passengers boarded at O'Hare in1994.
• 264 million pounds of freight handled.
• 188 million pounds of mail.
• Average daily boardings of over 30,000 people.

Other Services:
The Travelers & Immigrants Aid Office is located in Terminal 3, upper level, airside. The office provides information, directions, and special assistance to travelers.
