The Following is unsolicited.

One of my most unfavorite things in life is shopping for a car. I just like to look around at various cars before I ever get too seriously interested in any particular one. The moment you leave the safety of your old car and even come close to setting foot on a car lot, you have the feeling that you have become the center of the universe, and it is quickly closing in on you. You are only slightly relieved to find out that it is only a flock of car salesmen racing towards you, each trying to nonchalanty be the first to reach you.

Immediately, you hear that the car you are looking at is the best one on the lot. It just came in and only has a couple thousand miles on it. It is a miracle that you somehow have been smart enough to stumbled on the very finest car they have ever had to sell. If you decide not to buy the car, you feel grateful to escape with you life, let alone you checkbook.

It is with this in mind that I recently went looking for a car. I took my two sons with me either for protection or as decoys. Also, to be extra cautious, we went out looking after we thought the car lots would be closed.

We found a couple cars that looked interesting and decided to take the big step and return to the dealership the next day when they were actually open. To my great surprise we were greeted by a salesman who said that we should feel free to look around. If we found a car we liked, we were to just to let him know and we could take it out for a drive. That was just what we did. The car seemed fine. He suggested that we come back the next day with my wife so she could look at it. If we didn't want the car, there would be no pressure. SURE!I've heard that one before.

We needed a new car, the salesman seemed pleasant, so we went back. My wife thought we made a good choice. The salesman asked if we were still interested, we were. He asked how much we were interested in spending, We told him, he said ok, and we bought ourselves a new car. No pressure.

When we called the dealership a couple weeks later to indicate that there were a couple things that need to be adjusted on the car, the service manager said just bring it in and we will take care of it. He apologized for any inconvenience.

It is because of the pleasant experience that I have decided to put up this page as a form of appreciation.

If you are in the market for a new or used car, I would recommemd that you go where we did.

Where? You ask.
